The  Photoshoot

1) LETS CHAT
We will have chat before the shoot so I can get to know you and your dog a bit before the day. I will also send you a document of top tips to get the very best from your photo session.

2) PHOTO SESSION

It's time to shine!
We will go for a walk together for 1-2 hours and shoot along the way at our chosen outdoor location.

3) REVIEW THE SHOTS
I will put together a private online gallery for you to view the final hand-edited photographs.

4) ORDERING
This is the exciting bit of making these images your very own!
I have plenty of affordable options to suit you and your needs whether you want digital images, prints or wall art.

1) GROOMING
You may want to plan your dog's grooming in advance, trimming of hairs around the eyes is recommended dependent on the breed of dog you have.

Howe
ver, I don't recommend booking a grooming appointment on the same day as your photo session.

2) BATHING

If you have an active dog or a dog that has a hard time staying clean, you may need to wait until the day before to bathe.

You might also want to limit the opportunities for your dog to get dirty to ensure your dog is as clean and shiny as possible ready for the camera!

It may be handy to bring pet grooming wipes for touchups to the session.

3) "SIT PRACTICE"

Pre-photo session you can do a little brush up on basic commands to condition your dog to be an even better model for the session.

Have a handful of treats and ask your dog to sit, reward when your dog is doing it, and extend the period of time he holds the sit.

The session will be even better if you can also work on stay, lay down, and/or shake!

4) EXERCISE
If you have an active dog, your dog will likely benefit from some sort of exercise for a few hours before the session.

P
lease be careful however, make sure you do not tire your dog completely out!

5) SMALL MEAL
I suggest feeding your dog a smaller meal portion if your dog’s meal time is before your photo session.

While we don’t want your dog extremely hungry, if your dog is a little more interested in food that will be to our benefit.

Let’s be honest, a dog who we can bribe makes a great model!

6) IN YOUR BAG

  • Various types of your dogs favourite treats (bring plenty!)

  • Your dogs favourite toys

  • Waste bags

  • Best collar & lead (if you also have a skinny lead please bring this!)

  • Brush for grooming
